Description of Jenn Teacher

Today I taught a lesson to my 3C class (students between 10-11 years old) on how to write a description of a person, place or thing.  The lesson explained how to describe people and my students decided they wanted to write a description about yours truly.  I knew their descriptions of me would be colorful and quite imaginative so I agreed. What I was not counting on was the extrodinary amount of suck ups that my class holds.  Do I honestly care that I was told repeatedly that I was beautiful (a model I am certainly not) or thin (in my dreams)?  Not in the slightest.

Each student got some American chocolate and big hug as they were leaving.  I'm easy to please and compliments go a long way to put a smile on this tired teacher's face.

She is beautiful.

She has sand brown hair and blue happy eyes.
She likes samguypsal and chocolate.
She has a clean face.
She wants a vacation.
She wants to raise a panda.
She is wearing a black shirt.
She is thin like a flower.
She is a Kids College teacher.
She can speak English very well.
She likes her mom.
She likes games.
She gives chocolate.
She has favorite students.

Her name is Jennifer Teacher.
She yells "No Korean" at Robbie everyday.
She studies Korean because she doesn't know it.
Sometimes she smells like flowers.

She has many friends but no boyfriend.
She has a nose ring.
She has many silver rings on her face.
She drives a car in America but not in Korea.
She is from America.
She is kind.
She is angry sometimes.
She has long hair like a pony.

Thankful Kiddies

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, the kids were asked to write down things they were thankful for.  Their answers ranged from the sun, puppies, toes, Hello Kitty (of course), Cinderella and tomatoes to Jenn teacher.

I guess this means they like me.  I'm thankful for them too.

Unusual Koreans and Pictures

#78.  In Korea alcohol is acceptable to drink pretty much anywhere.  You can drink outside.  Inside. In a moving car.  In a bus. In a taxi.  Anywhere.  Double plus points to Korea.

#79.  The light switch for the bathroom is outside the door.  During the day when the rest of the lights are on this is not a problem.  Turn the lights off and make it 3am and it proves to be annoying as hell.  I always forget that it's on the outside so I spend a few minutes looking for the damn thing, turn on the bedroom light and remember where it is. 

#80.  Most apartments are motion sensored.  This is a handy dandy little invention senses when i'm walking down the hall and turns a light on.  Genius.  It saves on electricity (i'm assuming) and basically makes me feel like i'm back at the Indianapolis airport where the motion censored walkway lights up when you walk down to the gate.  You say waste of money, I say rockin technology.

#81.  Most water coolers have hot and cold water.  You know the office kind of water cooler where everyone has the latest gossip of that week?  Well imagine it having hot water too!  You can have instant coffee or tea while discussing if Mary Sue should stay with Billy Bob even though he's cheating on her with Emmy Lou from accounting.  And no I have no idea why all of those people have redneck names.  Seemed fitting.

Not really a whole lot going on here in the 'Hang so I thought i'd give you some pictures of my kiddies and their awe-inspiring cuteness. Get ready to say "awwwww" repeatedly. Accept it. It's gonna happen.
