Tomato Picking in Korea

A few weeks ago I went on a tomato picking excursion with my itty bitties.  They eventually understood that the red (not green) tomatoes were for eating, not to squash them in the hair of friends or to throw them as hard as possible on the ground touchdown style.

 

Wordless Wednesday: Easter and Birthday Combination

Another Wordless Wednesday for you.  This one is dedicated to the easter egg/birthday combination party that was thrown last week.  Included in these raucous pictures are some of the lovely birthday decorations provided by my coworkers, gifts from the itty bitties and the hilarity of 5 year olds on a hunt for candy.

Kids College Kids: Super Powers

[I've decided to make a post every so often that is dedicated to the weird rambles that my kids say on a daily basis.  It will be entitled "Kids College Kids."  When you see these get ready for entertainment.  Think of it as the Korean version of "Kids Say the Darndest Thing."]

While discussing superheros in my class today my 5 year olds decided that my super powers would be as follows: flying, lazers shooting out of my eyes and mouth, hair that goes down to the floor and powerful thighs.

Where they learned the words "powerful" or "thigh" is far beyond me.

Description of Jenn Teacher

Today I taught a lesson to my 3C class (students between 10-11 years old) on how to write a description of a person, place or thing.  The lesson explained how to describe people and my students decided they wanted to write a description about yours truly.  I knew their descriptions of me would be colorful and quite imaginative so I agreed. What I was not counting on was the extrodinary amount of suck ups that my class holds.  Do I honestly care that I was told repeatedly that I was beautiful (a model I am certainly not) or thin (in my dreams)?  Not in the slightest.

Each student got some American chocolate and big hug as they were leaving.  I'm easy to please and compliments go a long way to put a smile on this tired teacher's face.
